My golf State of the Union Address is up at Cybergolf. Just one thing – you’ll need this photo, tweeted by none other than Rory McIlroy himself. From the article: “As for our drought in the majors, remember I said this: an American will win in Atlanta. The PGA Championship set-up usually invites everybody to the party. You don’t have the...
The self-immolation of Tiger Woods continues apace with no signs of slowing down. First, Woods announced today that he fired Steve Williams, who some in the media derided as his “bag ape” and which seemed to fit in certain instances, not the least of which was his throwing a photographer’s camera in a lake. Moreover, CBS’ Steve Elling had a...
Hat tip to Ryan Ballengee for catching this story about HGH Doctor Henry Galea of the “blood spinning technique” entering into a plea deal. Galea, a known commodity among PED and steroid cheats, treated Woods with mysterious knee injection treatments which PGA Tour Commissioner Timid Tim Finchem refuses to investigate. From the article: “Woods has...
The red flashing light at the bottom of the ESPN screen grabbed my attention away from the game: Tiger Woods injured again. What? Did he fall out of bed and break his schlong? Probably, but that shouldn’t shelf him for golf, although after 121 women, he probably wishes he could hit the ball with his dick. According to stories, if he could do that he would have...
The only way the prosecution can lose the Barry Bonds steroids/PEDs trial is o call in Mark Furmann. Today former Bonds mistress Kimberly Bell testified to her eye-witness injections of Barr-roid Bonds by Greg Anderson. She then testified to the medical effects the drugs had on his body. Her testimony was an exact match to the clinical reactions: rage, pervasive...
As expected, Barry Bonds’s trainer, Greg Anderson, refused to testify against his client and was remanded into the custody of corrections official. It’s the fifth time he’ll serve some sort of jail term for Bonds. It brings to mind that old conversation between Jackie Brown and Odelle Robbie… “If I have to do any time for you up to a...
The bang of the judge’s gavel in Barry Bonds’s steroids/PED/perjury will hopefully be the first carronade salvo against steroid/PED cheats in sports. Roger Clemens, stand up and take notice: that is if you can somehow overcome the psychological damage the drugs did to your brain. Meanwhile Timid Tim Finchem, the incredible shrinking PGA Tour Commissioner...
Since silly season is upon us, I can turn my attention to Jay’s Golf Awards, known around here as the Jazzys. Last year, we only gave out two awards since the Tiger scandal scud-attacked every other story all December, (not to mention the rest of the year). We gave out the 2009 Turkey of the Year to Woods for being a poor sport and role model, but that was...
Let’s tie up a few loose ends before you fall asleep in front of the TV due to tryptophan, I tuck you in, and head off to watch either NFL Network or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Jaime Diaz may have saved the best for last this year after this great retrospective of Johnny Miller appeared in the December issue of GD. Diaz is a formidable writer with a...
Lots of people these days believe the old joke, “Insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result.” On that note – Quick! – someone decide quick whether to reserve a Bellevue bed or straight-jacket for Woods, Agent Mark Steinberg or both because New Tiger looks and sounds just like Old Tiger: new year, same...
This week two different Jezebels that Tiger Woods unwisely let get too close have been passing out their tabloid-esque tabs of black acid to anyone dumb enough to stick out their tongue. Porn star and hooker Devon James and high-end prostitute Loredana Jolie (no relation to Angelina except in general decrepitness) have been trying to sell their stories but with less...
The divorce between Tiger and Elin is final. Doug Ferguson has the best write up of the divorce papers. From the article: “The divorce was granted in Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Fla., about 375 miles away from their Isleworth home outside Orlando. The couple had married in October 2004 in Barbados and have a 3-year-old daughter, Sam, and a 19-month...
As I said here, Roger Clemens engaged in an act of self-immolation every bit as spectacular as Tiger Woods. Today, he was indicted by a Federal grand jury for lying to Congress in their steroids investigation of MLB. From the article: “A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens for allegedly lying to Congress about...
The Daily News and New York Post report on the details – sans names – of Dr. Galea giving out Actovegin and HGH. At least 23 pro athletes — most of them NFL and MLB players — are suddenly petrified. “ESPN has now obtained documents relating to Galea out of Canada, and while there are no names in the documents, this is the kind of thing...
As if the news for Tiger Woods design wsn;t bad enough last week when porn-star/stripper/pay-for-sex girl Joslyn James (or Veronica Siwik-Daniels if you prefer) revealed emails/texts from Bryon Bell of Tiger Woods Design which purportedly show him assisting Woods with his trysts with James, the NY Times reports that the depression gripping the country in its iron...
