NY Times reports trouble for Tiger Woods designed golf course

As if the news for Tiger Woods design wsn;t bad enough last week when porn-star/stripper/pay-for-sex girl Joslyn James (or Veronica Siwik-Daniels if you prefer) revealed emails/texts from Bryon Bell of Tiger Woods Design which purportedly show him assisting Woods with his trysts with James, the NY Times reports that the depression gripping the country in its iron fist has put The Cliffs, a “Tiger designed” course, in financial straights…(might the $10 million design fee be part of the problem?”

From the NYT article:

Woods, of course, did not cause the recession that has slowed the project. But the scandal that forced him off golf courses and into hiding did not help promote the high-end community, where his course is the main draw.

The intense scrutiny of Woods, and his desire for privacy, may also make it difficult for him to play a major role in promoting the course once it is finished, particularly if he struggles to regain his top-ranked form as a player.”

That’s funny, looking at how Tim Finchem has reacted to the whole affair…pun intended…you;d have thought screwing strippers, porn-stars, and hookers – sometimes in threesomes – could happen to anybody.

If you’re stupid enough to pay a golfer – who has been a designer and never studied the craft – an exorbitant fee, perhaps the risk was too great for the expected reward. Although it would be interesting for an actuary to calculate how much the scandal cost The Cliffs…and then see if they could sue Woods to recoup that lost amount…perhaps it’s too speculative, but his galavanting certainly devalued his attachment to the project and was proximate cause of some loss in revenue, but how much?
