Tom Kim is having entirely too much fun at Tiger Woods’s expense in this episode of Video of the WEAK!
This is why video game golf on television is nothing more than a Silly Season idea. Tiger’s team of Woods, Kim and Kevin Kisner were already getting smeared by the weirdsville score of “9-3” when woods asked his teammates for a distance for an approach shot. The team responded “99.”
But on a real golf course – where you have, you know, three dimensions – you know when your 199 yards from the green. Caddies and golfers, when giving yardages, frequently drop the “1” and provide the last two digits. The “1” goes without saying.
Except when it doesn’t. Like on a video game. So Woods ended up looking so dumb, Kevin Kisner asked for a mulligan. Cue the video:
That’s got to be the first time Woods ever dropped the 1 on anything. Isn’t his favorite line in business, “Put a ‘1’ in front of that, and you’ve got a deal…”
Ohhhhhh….too soon?
Meanwhile, they sure have a lot of laughs for a losing team. I wonder if putting Tom Kim, a notorious slowpoke on Tour might be a part of it. Still, he’s quite personable and a jovial fellow, so as long as he knocks off that 90 second pre-shot routine, he can hang around.
