Wow. Just wow. As usual, Dan Egan has his finger on the zeitgeist of the skiing planet. And, once again, he chronicles his adventures in film, much like the glory days of the Warren Miller.
This time, Dan returns decades later to Turkey, scene of one of the wildest and most primal spots he and his brother John ever visited. Now, as the Erciyes resort area has grown, Dan returns with John’s son Johnny, himself a skiing phenom at a tender age. Together, they retrace the steps if the previous journey, while visiting new heights and setting even higher bars. Click here for the epic film. And be sure to watch for its likely nomination for an Ullr Award.
“Skiing in Turkey is a mix of history and adventure,” Egan stated. “The people are friendly, the food is amazing, and the culture yells the story,”
And buy Dan’s biography, written with Eric Wilbur, 30 Years in a White Haze!
P.S. Hey Dan, nice job with the old “Putting the Indy Pass slowly in the pocket…” Good times!!!
