I have always thought Mike Patrick was always over-calling everything with his sacchariny sweet voice or thespian-like bombast, but this garbage about Britney Spears takes the cake.
One play away from the end of the barnburning Georgia-Alabama game and Patrick – out of a clear blue sky, with the game in the balance – asks Todd Blackledge for his opinion on Britney Spears. ESPN – catering to the 12 year old lowest common denominator idiot in all of us…

Blackledge: “Go ahead.”

Patrick: “Britney Spears. What’s she doing with her career?”
Blackledge: “Why do we care at this point? Is she here?”
