Reading List: Joe Logan, Hooked on Golf Blog

Joe Logan of the Philadelphia Inquirer has started a good weblog called Golf, Inq. (Clever!) Joe is a first rate sportswriter who blends everyman opinions with a respectful, observant and insightful writing style. Back in the summer he and I shared some thoughts on how wonderful it was to have Merion back in the informal “rotation” of U.S. Open courses in my Battle of Merion piece.

Today, Joe examines the headscratching question that surprised everybody at a recent event at Chump Trump National in Cali where Eldrick T. Woods was playing pals with high rollers. No spoiler here, I’ll make you go look at it if you haven’t heard about it already:) That question was almost as bad as the guy who asked Phil mickelson “is this the worst loss of your career” after he collapsed at Winged Foot.

Also, belated Happy Birthday to Tony Korologos, a.k.a. The Media Guru. We celebrated at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club in Greenwich Village at the Dizzie Gillespie All-Stars concert.
Finally, Golf Chick made me spit Pepsi all over my screen with this sparklingly witty one-liner about Paula Creamer:

“Maybe her collision with the Pepto Bismol truck on Sunday at the Samsung World Championship was in recognition of Breast Cancer awareness month.”

Atta girl, Kristin!  She mentions she wants to spit shine some ministerial interface aspects of her site.  To Kristin and everybody else, Tony K did my site and he did a crackerjack job.  Come on in Golfchick, The Golf Space water is just fine.
