Before the Masters, it’s all Tiger Tiger Tiger

You’d think all he did was get a DUI or something the way everyone swept 121 skanks under the rug like so much pocket lint.

Still, with Hank Haney’s/Jaime Diaz’s book coming out tomorrow, I’m sure there’ll be more than a share of distractions/discussions about things other than swing changes and “tweaked” ligaments.

In a Ryan Ballengee article, “Steiney” responds to some of the allegations in the book here. From the piece:

(Hank) Haney admits he never had in-depth, personal discussions with Tiger. This self-serving book is full of guesses and false assumptions,” Steinberg said in an emailed statement.

“Most don’t merit a response, but his stories about Tiger’s injuries are simply not true. Tiger’s injuries, and how they occurred, were exactly as described at the time they happened. Despite repeated claims that this is a golf book, it’s not.”

Good catch, Ryan. With regard t the sum and substance of “Steiney’s” response: Personally, I’m of the belief that the less a man makes declarative statements, the less apt he is to look foolish in retrospect.”

Meanwhile, the oddsmakers in the US and across the pond have installed Woods as a 4-1 favorite at the Masters.

Remember: that’s not who they think is going to win. That’s the number they calculate will attract equal betting on both sides. Rory McIlroy is still my betting favorite for the Masters. He’s second at 5-1. Here are some other notables:

PHIL MICKELSON 10/1
LEE WESTWOOD 18/1
LUKE DONALD 15/1
ADAM SCOTT 25/1
JASON DAY 40/1
DUSTIN JOHNSON 30/1
