Richard Lee, the 15-year-old amateur and second oyungest contestent to compete in the U.S. Open withdrew after 13 holes because of a wrist injury.
The injury occurred as he tried to pitch out of greenside rough on the par=4 11th hole. “I caught my wrist a little bit and it hurt alot. He played two more holes before walking in.
That makes more sense. The official USGA release says he has a leg injury.
They corrected that in an errata sheet..it said wrist in the press release today.
