2023 Masters Tournament Betting Odds

DEFENDING CHAMPION SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER AND RED HOT JON RAHM ARE CO-FAVORTIES FOR THE 2023 MASTERS TOURNAMENT

In just over two weeks all eyes will be on Augusta National as Scottie Scheffler endeavors to repeat as Masters Champion, the first since Tiger Woods in 2005 and 2006. Scheffler has moved into a tie with Spain’s Jon Rahm, the 2021 U.S. Open Champion for the favorite’s position. Rory McIlroy, Cameron Smith, Collin Morikawa, and Jordan Spieth round out the top six names.

Rahm already has three wins this season, claiming back-to-back starts at the Tournament of Champions and The American Express in January, then winning the Genesis Invitational in February. And he’s constantly been at or near the top of the leaderboard, with six top-10 finishes in seven events.

Scheffler is our pick to win, but there is some soft underbelly to the ticket. Justin Thomas, (who won last year’s PGA Championship at Southern Hills), Dustin Johnson, (the 2020 Masters champion), and Will Zalatoris all offer excellent value on the money line.

There are some fascinating expert sleeper picks as well. Tony Finau is getting a lot of looks and ink, but will he be firing n all cylinders? Sung-Jae Im seems a more solid pick, and offers a king’s ransom should that pick hit. Finally, people who win at Augusta often repeat, so give a look to Hideki Matsuyama and, sadly, Patrick Reed.

Two years ago, Will Zalatoris surprised oddsmakers and bettors alike with a second-place finish at the Masters. He followed it up in 2022 with a sixth place finish, so it’s no surprise that Zalatoris leads the ticket count in cumulative odds market. Spieth is No. 2 in tickets, followed by defending champ Scheffler. However, the money count differs, with Rahm taking the most cash, followed by Collin Morikawa and McIlroy.
