Updated PGA Championship Venues – Congressional Added for 2031

“The Bridge over the River Kwai” and other annoyances like traffic jams make Congressional a tough place to work a tournament…

The PGA of America, in a move many expected, added Congressional Blue as a PGA Championship venue for 2031. You’ll recall Rory McIlroy set the 36, 54, and 72-hole scoring records, along with the 72 2019 – Bethpage State Park, (Black Course) Bethpage, N.Y.

2020 – TPC Harding Park, San Francisco, Ca.

2021 – Kiawah Island (Ocean Course), Kiawah Island, S.C.

2022 – Trump Bedminster, Bedminster, N.J.

2023 – Oak Hill Country Club, (East Course), Pittsford, N.Y.

2024 – Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Ky.

2025-2026 – TBD

2027 – Aronimink Golf Club, Newtown Square, Pa.

2028 – Olympic Club, (Lake Course), San Francisco, Ca.

2029 – Baltusrol Golf Club, (Lower Course), Springfield, N.J.

2030 – TBD

2031 – Congressional G.C., Bathesda, MD

TBD – Southern Hills, C.C., Tulsa, Ok.hole aggregate record.

It’s not U.S. Open worthy anymore. We can’t have 16-under. It’s against the law, notice was posted since 1951…

Anyway, here is the updated list. As far as golf courses go, the keepers include Bethpage Black, Kiawah Island, Olympic Club, Baltusrol, and Southern Hills. Harding Park underwhelmed and Valhalla isn’t a golf course, it’s an amusement park.

Oh well, no more Medinah or Atlanta Athletic Club for a while! Thank you! Here’s the list:
