After nearly three weeks, I couldn’t believe it. I could stick my head out, and it seemed the avalanche was over. Oh there’s still windblown snow flying around, and another fall may come, but unless its the Dr. galea story getting updated, we have a breather finally. The real time updates have finally stopped. The breakneck pace of dalliance has stopped.
Will we see another flurry? It is the cold and flu season, and the bloodhounds are on the trail of PEDs, while the wolves are still stalking the Tiger.
Still, could this be the end of Phase one? One writer said he sensed a change in the air, but while I don’t think public opinion of Woods is going to get better any time soon, the first free fall may be over. Check in there again if problems arise from Galea.
Now the question that remains, is whether the golf writers are going to submit again, let stars get away with special treatment, and keep trying to sell us more saints. Now that Tiger is gone, some lugnuts and dingbats are trying to sell us more hagiographic hero worship of Michelle Wie.
That’s making the same mistake over again, and expecting a different result. She’s just a good female golfer people…perspective.
Well, at least it’s good to be able to come out from the storm, just in time for Christmas.
