Not one but two new Jay Flemma Sports Report shows have dropped recently, so here are the links.
Skiing in Argentina/Open Championship and USGA Mid-Am Redux
Our first guest was Aaron Schorsch of Saveur the Journey, the skiing, fishing, and culinary travel outfit that showed me around Argentina. It was an absolutely gold standard experience on every level – skiing, lodging, food, and culture. We’re finishing up a longer piece on Saveur which will drop shortly, along with two different magazine pieces: one about Cerro Chapelco and its wondrous green energy initiative where the entire resort runs on renewable energy and a second about the history and continuing cultural importance of Cerro Catedral, the grande dame of Argentinian and perhaps all South American skiing and snowboarding. True to their name, the food was equally sterling as Argentinian beef and lamb are highly regarded as among the world’s absolute best, as are their fantastic wines, particularly Malbecs.

Next Golf News Net producer and publisher Ryan Ballengee debriefed us on Brian Harman’s surprise victory in the Open Championship at Hoylake. We also discussed the dominant victory of Stewart Hagestad at the USGA Mid-Am contested at Sleepy Hollow Country Club.

Next, we interviewed Phil Pugliese and his lovely and charming wife Tricia about golf out in the Rockies, theie thoughts on the Ryder Cup, and a preview of the ski season – both resorts and equipment. The, just back from his trip to both the Solheim Cup in Spain and the Ryder Cup in Italy, Ryan Ballengee breaks down both matches.
