Not only does Geoff Shackelford bring us up to date on Ress Jones’ changes to DONALD ROSS’ masterpiece at Oakland Hills, his commenters bring up the little fact that Rees seems to have missed in his press conference. The course existed before his dad got his bulldozers on it.
Now the course is wasp-waisted fairways and center-line/penal architecture. I’ll see if I can get some pre-50’s photos of Oakland Hills to do a compare/contrast.
Oakland Hills will host the 2008 PGA Championship.
