Teton Reserve – a golf course with a reversible routing

I think this is a super idea. Hale Irwin always struck me as being super-intelligent (maybe it’s the glasses or that he solved three tough U.S. Open courses.) But this the is extra tough, Sunday times crossword, join Mensa kind of problem solving that promotes good golf course architecture. The website is here. Then you can click on the thumbnail and see how they switch it to play the fairways in reverse order.

Brilliant. They do the same thing at St. Andrew’s once a year; later this month as a matter of fact. Here’s a great article on the Reverse Old Course. (ROC…as opposed to TOC, The Old Course)

Cue Mel Brooks from Spaceballs:  “It’s reversible.  Like my raincoat!”
