With a sizzling 67-65-66 Steve Stricker has opened up a 6-shot lead in the competition at Riviera Country Club. Luke Donald, J.B. Holmes, and Andres Romero are tied for second at 9-under. Surging George McNeill fired a 66 to share 5th place with Kevin Stadler and Dustin Johnson at 7-under.
Phil Mickelson followed Friday’s 66 with a disappointing 71, to wind up in a tie for 18th place at 4-under.
Every player in the top-10 shot under par-rounds except Johnson, who carded a 74.
