Sal Johnson and Dave Seanor of Golf Observer on unruly fans

Are you watching ESPN?  This is what 20+ year men in the sports industry have to say about rowdy crowds:

From the article:

Question 1 from Dave

A split second after Phil Mickelson hit his final tee shot Sunday, a spectator bellowed: “Get in the water!” Should that guy have been ejected from the grounds, or is that acceptable behavior in this day and age?

SAL:
Sal – Acceptable behavior?!? Come on, Dave! If I had my way, that guy would be on his ass outside the grounds in about 3 minutes. I can put up with the “You da man!” and “It’s in the hole!” screams, but stuff like “Get in the water!” can’t be tolerated and I’m glad episodes like that are rare.

Dave:

how do you combat it? Just as golfers police themselves on rules infractions, so too should fellow spectators when it comes to egregious breaches of fan etiquette. Disapproving looks and shame-on-you comments of those nearby in the gallery typically are enough to embarrass the attention-seekers into silence. If that’s not enough, go find a cop..
