Jay’s Plays NFL Picks – Week 5 Predictions and Analysis

TORREY THE PREDICTION CAT LIKES THE PATRIOTS AND COWBOYS AS HIS BEST BETS NEXT WEEK.

Welcome to the opening week of this season’s Jay’s Plays football picks. Let’s also have a big hand for our new starting prognosticator: Torrey the Prediction Cat.

Here’s this week’s picks. As always we use the lines from www.vegasinsider.com and move the line six points in our favor since we do 2-team teasers. HOME TEAM IN CAPS.

RIDE THE HOT HAND!

patriots -8 at REDSKINS
COWBOYS +2.5 vs. packers

Buffalo proved somebody might be able to slow down the Patriots offense, but the defense was what won the Super Bowl and the defense has limited opponents to a paltry 27 points in four games. At that rate, they could win the Super Bowl with the janitor handing off to the hot dog vendors. Meanwhile the Redskins fans are wearing paper bags and chanting 0-16. It’s time for Dan Snyder to sell the team. They’ll win with him playing owner. The Cowboys were sizzling hot before last night’s brain spaz against the Saints, and the Pack are just treading water.

TAKE THE POINTS!

GIANTS +11.5 vs, vikings
SEAHAWKS +7.5 vs rams

Maybe the Giants should have started Daniel Jones sooner. He’s been solid in relief of Manning and in his first NFL start. Meanwhile the Rams are struggling to find their offensive form. Add into the mix Seattle’s 12th man, and 7.5 becomes a lot to cover on the road.

HOME COOKIN!

SAINTS +3 vs, buccaneers
PANTHERS -3 vs. jags

Neither the Saints nor the Panthers have lived up to the hype and potential, but the inconsistency coming out of Jacksonville and Tampa translates to road losses to stronger teams on all sides of the ball.
