Torrey the Prediction Cat went 3-1, 1-1 last week in the Wild Card round. He won with the Cowboys, the Chargers and one OVER/UNDER. Sadly, the Bears came up short on that field goal and he missed the OVER against the Eagles. His totals thus far are a respectable 8-2, 3-2 in teasers.
We’ll give him one more week before switching back to Ernesto the Prediction Iguana for the conference championships and Super Bowl. I’m really getting sick of my ex-girlfriend’s squeals of delight when the Eagles keep winning by thew skin of their teeth. Can we please cue up “Cry Eagles Cry” one more time? They are streaking right noe, and the Saints have been faltering. Still, the week of rest may be enough to get everyone back on track.
The Rams faltered badly at this stage last year. They won’t make that mistake twice against a Dallas team that is improving, but still needs more pieces on both offense and defense to close the deal against a powerhouse like L.A.

Two solid offenses square off against two mediocre defenses in Foxboro. If the weather cooperates, they should hit the OVER without a struggle. Meanwhile in the Superdome, even if the Eagles D shows the same fire as the last four weeks, this one will hit the OVER by a whisker.
