Guest Poem by David Magness

Something a little different today – a guest poem by David Magness of Arlington, VA. David did a nice job with this, and I edited it ever so slightly to get the meter perfect. Bravo, David. See you on the links soon.

P.S. – Up next, my reviews of River Bend Club, Old Town, and more from Tobacco Road including video!

A GREAT DAY ON THE COURSE

Golf is such a stupid game
You play it with a pole.
And chase a ball around a field
To knock it in a hole.

We all spend lots of money
Trying hard to fix our game.
But when we go to hit the ball
It’s always just the same.

Some smoke cigars when they play
Other folks wear fancy clothes.
And every time new toys come out
It’s “Get me one of those!”

So when you do grow weary
Of frustration with your sticks.
Try something more relaxing
Like talking politics!
