Forza Italia! Italy’s Silvia Cavalleri wins LPGA event

Italy’s Silvia Cavalleri deflated all Mexico and the ESPN Deportes crew by defeating World Number One Lorena Ochoa in the LPGA’s Corona Merelia Championship.  Paraguay’s Julieta Granada was third.

Forza Italia, Sempre!  She became the fist Italian to win an LPGA event.

First the U.S. Amateur (attaboy Edoardo Molinari!), then World Cup and now the LPGA.  I’m all for Italian Sports World Domination.

Excellent work by Cybergolf and Golf Observer on the subject.  Watch for my U.S. Open preview piece on Cybergolf soon as I gear up for my third U.S. Open, this time reporting live from Pittsburgh.  Golf Observer will run my piece on Black Mesa imminently, so shine up your clubs and make those plane resis for Albuquerque.

Then make that left turn that Bugs Bunny always missed and you’ll be at Black Mesa in about 30 minutes.  Stay a week…maybe even eight days.
