Ferry Point moving forward, PGA TOUR in mess over Barclays move

First, New York City finally approved RFPs for the Ferry Point project, a planned 18 hole public golf course located in the Bronx on a site not unlike Bayonne across the river in New Jersey.  Don’t get your hopes up, though.  Between the Parks Department wasting money on improvements at city public courses and the massive amounts of money and time wasted at Ferry Point in fruitless efforts thus far, we’d be as well off if Isiah Thomas were engaged to handle the job.

Next, the PGA TOUR is finding themselves in a mess after word broke that the 2008 Barclays may move from Westchester C.C. to Ridgewood C.C. in New Jersey.
