Czaban should take a mulligan on Oakmont tree cutting

As Mark Twain said, when some people get a batty idea in their head “there’s no getting it out again.”  Czabe misses the boat completely by completely ignoring the agronomy.  The added trees were KILLING the greens.  All those roots were leeching nutrients form the soil.  The leaves were shading parts of the greens relying on sunlight.  Every golf course architect agreed and even the members who were originally against it were turned around.  Czabe, you are Don Quixote on this one.  If the members now agree it was the right thing to do because of the agronomy, how can you just skirt right over that issue by just saying you aren’t buying it.  It’s science, Steve.  Don’t mess with Professor Frink…or Professor Farnsworth.

He even put in this Podcast that the members should rename it “Grassmont.”  That set off every dork alarm in DelMarVa.
