Coming Attractions, Including Anderson Memorial at Winged Foot, U.S. Open from Pebble Beach

DON’T RULE OUT TIGER WOODS AT THE U.S. OPEN AT PEBBLE BEACH

Tournament coverage at GNN and JFDC is heating up. We’ll be at the 119th U.S. Open from sparkling Pebble Beach for the entire week, while also covering the 83rd Anderson Memorial from venerable Winged Foot. In between we’ll have articles on the Senior PGA, our Mt. Snow ski and golf trips, and a new piece on Golf Course Trades on N.J.’s Shackamaxon Country Club.

We’re not picking Koepka to three-peat right now. With the wind likely to pick up, tiny greens, and more rough than they had at Bethpage, look for the Europeans to do well. As for the Anderson, who wouldn’t love to see the South Americans lock horns with the Smoky Mountain Boys. Or maybe the purple-or pink clad Maxes can take on the Poulter-clad English gents. There’s no shortage of terrific golf, clothes, and history when the nation’s oldest four-ball gets together for its annual hoot. As many as twenty countries or more can be represented in the field, as well as teams of well-decorated amateur champions from all across the United States.

We’ll have mn
ore from both tournaments as the month rolls on.
