Brian Keogh reports on Harrington and Woods Playing together at Bethpage

Brian Keogh of the Irish Golf Desk has this interview with Padraig Harrington, where the reigning British Open and PGA Champion talks about playing with Woods in 2002 at Bethpage, and how he’s excited. Angel Cabrera may round out the threesome for the first two days.

Keogh also got Paddy to give us all an optimistic view of how his practice regimen is helping him round into form just in time for Bethpage.

From Brian’s piece:

It’s a great Irish crowd. There’s a lot of Irish people there. I’m the sort of guy, as well, that if somebody comes up with something original, I’ll laugh.

“It didn’t happen to me but I like the idea of it. Some weeks it’s great to have a big crowd like that.”

Harrington and Woods are in action at The Memorial in Dublin, Ohio this week.

The Dubliner has promised to put the swing change that has affected his form this season “on the back burner” and insisted it’s time to “go out and play golf.”

Nice, Bri. See you in Manhattan for dinner during Open week.
