Author John Lundin Covering Sun Valley FIS World Cup Finals

SUN VALLEY, ID –  Quintessential veteran winter sports writer John Lundin will be covering the FIS World Cup Finals at Sun Valley March 22-27, handling the lion’s share of writing duty while several other writers are presiding over the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies and the Skiing History Gala in Lake Placid.

Lundin knows more about Sun Valley than any person alive, having written a lifetime of articles and books about the mountain and its history. His decades of both knowledge and wisdom in winter sports shines through in his writing. And his game stories will have us right there in a gate, feeling the wind, tasting the cold, hearing the scrape of ski on ice and snow at 100 mph.

Here are some stories about the prep for the event, a lecture talking about the race course for the downhill, a full schedule of events and races,  and the death of Carol Holding, to some the heart and soul of modern Sun Valley.

You can read John’s work at Eye on Sun Valley all during the week of the races.
