New Hampshire’s King Pine Ski Area to Host 7th Annual Granite Backcountry Alliance “Wild Corn” Backcountry Weekend and Festival

THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN! WILD CORN BACKCOUNTRY EXTRAVAGANZA!

New Hampshire’s King Pine Ski Area will host the 7th annual Wild Corn Backcountry Weekend and Festival, Friday March 31 through Sunday April 2, 2023. Produced by the Granite Backcountry Alliance and presented by Fischer, the weekend is a full immersion into backcountry and uphill adventures for all skill levels; all lifts are turned off and human powered travel is roundly celebrated.

Besides backcountry adventures for everyone from expert to beginners, the mountain transmogrifies into a festival basecamp with gear vendors, demos, clinics, friendly competitions, food and beverages, parties, and more. Every ticket purchased goes directly toward supporting Graniteland – a network of 11 below-treeline glade zones amidst four historic conservation trails.

“We’re excited to again have King Pine Ski Area be the venue for Granite Backcountry Alliance’s Wild Corn “Darkside Of The Corn” event,” grinned an excited Thomas Prindle, Marketing Manager for King Pine. “As fun as the last couple of years have been for GBA’s annual uphill community spring bash at King Pine, I think this year is going to be next-level good times.”

The event also features Friday and Saturday performances by jam band, funk, and prog rock superstars Pink Talking Fish: a tribute band exclusively exploring the music of Talking Heads, Pink Floyd, and Phish
