There’s a young lion out there who’s taking the skiing and YouTube world by storm. Meet Sam Weintraub and his YouTube Channel Peak Rankings.
Sam has been globetrotting like mad lately, taking groups of his channel followers and colleagues to destinations both home grown and far-flung. Better still, Sam is always on the cutting edge of what’s happening on the business side of the skiing industry, providing laser analysis with lightning fast coverage on Peak Ranksings, his wildly successful YouTube channel.
Sam has been where you’re going, and he has the latest on every mountain’s culture and layout. His deep dives into resorts are encyclopedic and detail oriented without getting you bogged down in anything extraneous or useless. Sam knows the difference between what’s culture and a commercial and makes no bones about giving you the straight, unfiltered analysis without any bias or anyone being beholden to him or vice versa.
We’ve had Sam as a guest on Jay Flemma Sports Report before and will again soon. He’s an important voice in skiing and snowboarding travel right now, and his recent expansion into hiking looks to be just as rousing a success.
Best of all, he’s a super dude who brings the stoke with him wherever he goes. He’s definitely one of Ullr’s foot soldiers, like all good skiing journos are. Besides leading trips to Colorado and Japan this year, look for Sam doing a professional development seminar for the North American Snowsports Journalists Association later this winter, possibly live from Black Mountain in New Hampshire. Make Sam and Peak Rankings a regular stop on your doomscrolling. It’ll be the most profitable stop of your day.
