Just a quick get well wish to an old Internet friend of AWIPT’s; Ian Clarke, the thirty-one year-old computer scientist and artificial intelligence researcher is recovering nicely from esophagal surgery.
Clarke, as you may recall, is the computer genius behind Freenet and several other next level methods of distributing content over the Internet. Stephen Hawking’s brain in Brad Pitt’s body, Clarke is now working on Thoof.com, which you can read about on the thoof site and on Ian’s fascinating blog. You can also read about his operation; the procedure to cure achalasia was, in fact, quite interesting.
I keep telling Ian that he should be the one working on teleporting chickens. Then we’d make some headway.
