Hat tip to my Golf Magazine buddy Dave Dusek…who still owes me for jinxing me last year at the U.S. Open! He said the word “playoff” in the media tent, and when Tiger made that putt Jay Flemma and about 39 other guys all lost a chance to play Torrey the next day! Then Robert Trent Jones does the same thing! Gary van Sickle and I are having a laugh about Dave saying the “P word” and Njones looks up and says, “what P word? playoff?”
It’s like that Monty Python sketch from Holy Grain…”stop saying the word!”
