Tim Clark Withdraws from U.S. Open with Elbow Injury

From the U.S.G.A. press release:

“Tim Clark withdrew from the 2011 U.S. Open Championship on Saturday, June 11 because of an elbow injury. The alternate who will take his place is J.J. Henry, who competed in sectional qualifying on June 6 in Columbus, Ohio (Brookside Golf and Country Club and Lakes Golf and Country Club). Henry shot rounds of 68-69—137 to earn the first alternate position.”

Well that’s a bummer for all the fans in the “Tim Clark Posse” as they are called, a group of loyal fans that follow him from tournament to tournament. Tim’s been fighting elbow problems for a while now, so all we can do is hope it heals son and that he’s back in time for the British Open and the PGA Championship
