Sadly, this year accommodations for RVs at Green Lakes were filled early in 2023, so we cannot have an overnight dance party as planned in 2024. For those that would like to stay overnight nearby, some state parks with camping are Delta Lake, Verona Beach, and Fair Haven State Park, they all use Reserve America online for booking. RVs can definitely be parked at the East Beach Parking lot which is located right alongside the park’s Education Center and boathouse, which would be the ideal place to park for the cookout. Anyone who is not camping here must vacate from the park by sunset which is typically around 9 PM in the summer months. The grassy area right alongside the sanded beach area is for the cookout, but there are no reservations for grills and picnic tables, so send team representatives early to reserve space. If any teams would prefer, there are rentable outdoor pavilions/shelters, but none are available directly at the beach. They do charge separate park admission from 8 AM -7 PM, it is $10 per vehicle.
