Snowsports industry magnate Doug Fish, the founder of Indy Pass and the genius behind the Snowvana series of winter sports trade shows, will sit for a probing interview with North American Snowsports Journalists Association vice president Jay Flemma on Thursday, February 12 at 7pm Eastern.
Fish’s impact on international skiing and snowboarding cannot be understated. His homegrown Indy Pass has blossomed into, perhaps, the most affordable and widest-ranging pass on the planet offering low price entry for athletes to now over 270 venues across four continents.
Now Snowvana comes east for the first time, debuting in November in Boston, replacing Snowbound, which moved to Foxwoods in Connecticut. Many in the industry hail Fish as a white knight, riding into save an institution; the east coast show in Boston was a perennial favorite of experts and families alive. A large industry presence is expected for Fish’s talk with Flemma as everyone is waiting with baited breath to hear about what to expect and what plans have concretely been made. Colorful and transparent, the bubbly and effervescent Fish is always insightful
