Jay’s Plays NFL Picks – Week 6 Predictions and Analysis

TORREY THE PREDICTION CAT WENT 42 LAST WEEK IN HIS NFL PICKS, 12 IN TEASERS

Torrey the Prediction Cat went 4-2 last week to open the season, but just 1-2 in teasers. As usual, the Patriots were a shoo-in, and the Seahawks were their usual, reliable selves. He also hit with the Panthers and Saints tough to do in the unpredictable NFC South. The two losses were the putrid Giants laying an egg at home against the Vikings and a surprisingly weak effort from the Cowboys, also at home.

Here’s this week’s picks. As always we use the lines from www.vegasinsider.com and move the line six points in our favor since we do 2-team teasers. HOME TEAM IN CAPS.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THE STEELERS

CHARGERS -1/2 vs. steelers
CHARGERS-steelers UNDER 48.5

Injuries at the QB position + a terrible defense + inferior skill personnel = disaster for Pittsburgh, even against an opponent they normally dominate. Plus they travel poorly to the West Coast. Last chance saloon for the Chargers and Philip Rivers…

AFC SHOWDOWN IN THE MAKING

PATRIOTS-giants under 48.5
CHIEFS +1/2 vs. texans

The Giants defense made Kirk Cousins look like Brady last week. Who will they make Brady look like? Superman? Meanwhil the Texans are talented, but coming into Arrowhead and facing Mahomes, they just can’t keep up in a track meet.

PACKERS +1.5 vs lions
seahawks +8 at BROWNS

Okay, Cleveland is improved, but can they take advantage of a down AFC North? This is a litmus test, and eight points is a lot to spot a solid Seahawks team. The Packers can take an early leg up on the NFC by toppling the Lions at home. Lambeau on a Monday is a special place to be.
