Jay’s Plays NFL Picks – 2019-2020 Wild Card Predictions and Analysis

TORREY THE PREDICTION CAT ASKING FOR STAFF T GRAB THE THESAURUS FOR HIM AND THE VEGASINSIDER.COM ODDS PAGE. HE FINISHED THE SEASON WITH A 61.1% WINNING PERCENTAGE, 22-14 IN TEASERS

Torrey the Prediction Cat closed the regular season with a perfect 6-0 record for week 16 (30 in teasers). As you remember, he makes no picks week 17 – rosters are too fluid for accurate prediction – so save your money, and follow his lead!

That means that the greatest animal sports prognosticator finished the season 55-17 overall, 22-14 in teasers, a 61.1 winning percentage. Money in the bank.

Here’s this week’s winners before they happen. As always we use the lines from www.vegasinsider.com and move the line six points in our favor since we do 2-team teasers. HOME TEAM IN CAPS.

AFC UNDER ARMOUR

TEXANS-bills UNDER 47.5
PATRIOTS-titans UNDER 50

The Bills made the playoffs, but they really didn’t look too good doing it. They lost to the Pats in the clutch, then again to the lowly Jets. That’s no way to enter the playoffs, let alone go on the road. Ditto for the Titans. Weather in Foxboro + Belicheck preparation = a quick lesson in playoff football to the inexperienced Titans.

BIG BATTALIONS!
vikings +14 at SAINTS
PATRIOTS +1.5 vs. titans

The Vikings deserved better than a first round match-up with Brees and the Saints. That’s conference championship quality football right there. The Saints are not long removed from Stefan Diggs and the Miracle of Minneapolis, and would love payback dearly. That being said, 14 is a lot to cover against a stingy defense evoking memories of the old Purple People Eaters. A first round game is terrible news for the Cheatriots, but not at home against a mediocre six seed.

EAGLES AND THE OVER

EAGLES-seahawks OVER 40
EAGLES + 7.5 vs.seahawks

The Eagles are starting to solidify, and the Seahawks still travel east poorly. Could this be the beginning of a playoff run for the Eagles? You cant count them out after two years ago…
