Fall Tour Dates – Black Mesa, Baltimore C.C. and Philly Cricket Club again

The end of the PGA TOUR season means that the remainder of the year will be spent reviewing more courses.

First, the team here at AWITP will join forces with Tony Korologos of Hooked on Golf Blog and The Golf Space for a three day event at fabled Black Mesa Golf Club, which I reviewed in this piece for Golf Observer. Black Mesa is one of the three most important public courses to open up since Sawgrass opened its grassy guillotine in 1980. For those of you scoring at home, the other two are Bandon Dunes Resort in Oregon and Tobacco Road in the Pinehurst area.

Then the tour shifts back east for a return visit to the Philly to D.C. Corridor for another round at both Baltimore Country Club’s Tillinghast designed East Course and Philadelphia Cricket Club (also Tillinghast) on the private course side. We’ll also return to public masterpieces Lederach, Bulle Rock and Beechtree.

Finally, while no concrete plans have been solidified, Dallas, TX and Los Angeles, CA are vying to host another Golfers and Rockers Mutants of the Road Tour with pop-punk stars Bowling For Soup and other rock and roll friends from various bands.

…Listen to the road call, keepin’ one eye on the rear view, the other on the road, welcome to the travellin’ show.
